Matthew Shaw | Owner and Chief
With over 20 years of experience in security, investigations, and law enforcement, I have developed a comprehensive skill set in identifying threats, managing risks, and implementing preventive measures. My career began in retail, where I focused primarily on operations and loss prevention. During this time, I honed my ability to detect security threats and protect assets. I then transitioned into Corrections, where I was involved in conducting investigations, managing security threat groups, and contributing to recovery efforts in high-stakes situations.
I further expanded my expertise in risk management, leading investigations into safety incidents and conducting risk assessments. I also developed and implemented strategies to protect both personnel and assets in challenging environments.
Beyond my professional career, I am a family-oriented individual who values spending time with loved ones, friends, and exploring the world through travel. My goal is to apply my extensive background to provide the highest level of security and investigative services to those who trust Arclight Protective Services.
I have also completed numerous advanced training programs, ensuring I stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and best practices in the field, so I can consistently deliver exceptional service.
Demetris Clark | Owner and Deputy Chief
As the Owner and Deputy Chief, I bring extensive experience in military service, corrections, and law enforcement, developing a diverse skill set that spans across security operations, investigations, and crisis management. My background includes significant experience in the U.S. Marine Corps, where I specialized in military police operations, security force duties, and combat situations, followed by service in the Army National Guard. I have also held various roles in corrections, where I was responsible for staff supervision, security management, and handling disturbances.
Additionally, I have received numerous specialized training courses, including emergency response, correctional training, and crisis intervention. I have a comprehensive understanding of criminal law, inmate behavior management, weapons handling, and security procedures, which I use to maintain a high level of safety and operational efficiency in all roles.
My training and experience have equipped me with strong leadership skills, crisis management capabilities, and a deep commitment to ensuring safety and security for both individuals and facilities.
